On July 21st, Pocahontas Regular Baptist Church held an ordination council for Associate Pastor Michael Ryan. Rev. Jeriah Shank was the moderator and Rev. Doug Farrell was the secretary. About 11 people were there and the council  recommended ordination.  On July 22nd, the church approved the recommendation and formally ordained Pastor Ryan, with Mike Crawford and Dr. Dean Taylor being the speakers at the service.
