Bethel Baptist Church Seeking Senior Pastor
Bethel Baptist Church in Oskaloosa, Iowa is seeking God’s will as to whom He would have as our next senior pastor. We are asking for your help inspreading the word about this opportunity.
Ideally, our next senior pastor should possess the following qualities / skills:
• He should have a minimum of a college degree. Bible college and/or seminary training strongly preferred.
• He should be versed in expository preaching with the ability to clearly articulate the Gospel as part of his exposition.
• He should be willing to invest in relationships with church members and shepherd them in their walks.
• He should have abilities to advance the church’s mission and vision with godly leadership.
• He should have a passion for the spread of the Gospel and mobilizing the church to become involved in evangelistic efforts.
• He should understand the need for the intentional discipleship of all people toward spiritual maturity and lead those efforts.
Bethel Baptist Church started as a home church in 1946 and the articles of incorporation for the church were formulated in 1948. Since then, the church has been in several locations throughout Oskaloosa, settling on our current location in 1995. We are currently seeking our fifteenth senior pastor in the history of our church.
