We recently received a letter with a generous offer to share with you! Here is the content of the letter:
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I trust this letter finds you faithfully serving our Lord and rejoicing in His continued goodness.
My wife, Priscilla, and I have had a burden to help ministry couples for quite some time. We are excited to write and inform you of a ministry that God has opened up to us here at Calvary. We have available a furnished home on our campus that we would like to make available for ministry couples and/or families. We are calling the home the Ministry House, and it is available rent free and utility free for short-term, first-come, first-served stays. It can be used for ministry individuals who need a ministry break or who are hurting and/or need a place to come and get spiritual refreshment. We would make available Biblical counseling, if wanted, or just provide a place to come in and crash and get refreshed. By the way, we also have a furnished mission house that is also currently available to any missionary couple home on furlough or under the same circumstances mentioned above.
We recently made the ministry house available to a couple who had ministered faithfully on the south side of Chicago for six years. They were exhausted, in need of a ministry change, and we made our ministry house available to them for a few months. They are now continuing to serve the Lord in a new ministry as an Assistant Pastor in Charlotte, North Carolina. They wrote the following about our Ministry House: ‘This has been a time for us of resting, healing, regrouping, trusting, getting ready, and preparing the best we could for a destination that was unknown to us throughout much of nine months while we stayed in the Ministry House…you have invested deeply in our family through friendship, conversations, food, Awana, Sunday School, children’s church, Bible study, Mom’s Group, church services, and a ministry house that became our home.”
The Quincy, Illinois, area is a great place to relax and get refocused. We are located 18 blocks from the Mississippi River and only about 15 miles from Historic Hannibal, Missouri. If you or someone you know would be in need of this ministry, please have them e-mail us at email@example.com. Priscilla or I would be happy to connect with them and talk about the facility God has made available to our church to be used for God’s glory.
Sincerely in Christ,
Wayne A. Manago, Pastor
