CANCELED-Back On Track 2020

November 20 - November 21

EVENT CANCELED

Dear Pastors, Youth Leaders, and Youth Sponsors,

Back on Track is back again! Our two-day, overnight youth seminar format will have a special focus
on the privilege we have as Christians to love, encourage, and invest in the other members of our
church. Teenagers will profit from God’s Word, benefit from the interactive break-out sessions, and
enjoy the opportunity to visit with friends. It all takes place November 20-21 at Ankeny Baptist Church
in Ankeny, Iowa with special speaker, Jon Kopp who serves as one of the pastors at Gospel Grace
Church in Salt Lake City, UT.

Here’s the details:
In order to accommodate more of your teenagers, the cost of the rally will remain at $10 per teenager
($5 for sponsors, sponsor’s children [no nursery is provided], and drivers). In order to get the most out of the main sessions, we are continuing our format to include an overnight stay in Ankeny and special break-out sessions for each teenager and each attending youth group.

This year’s theme, “One Another” will challenge us to take responsibility for helping one another
in the church make progress. Embracing this responsibility is the ground for healthy churches
and an accurate display of the supernatural power of the gospel. Jon will do a great job explaining
and challenging all who attend. Students will also have the opportunity to submit questions that
will be addressed during the panel discussion Saturday morning.

The format and schedule for the rally:
Friday, November 20 –
6:15 PM – Registration
7:00 PM – Main Session #1
8:30 PM – Supper

Saturday, November 21 –
9:00 AM – Main Session #2
10:30 AM – Panel Discussion
11:30 AM – Main Session #3
12:30 PM – Head for Home

To pre-register, go to iarbc.org/bot or visit the 4:12 IARBC State Youth Facebook page by Monday, November 16 (contact Jason Blunk with questions – 515.991.2690 or jasonblunk@gmail.com). You do
not need to send money ahead of time, simply get us the number of teenagers and sponsors planning
to attend. This will help us to plan accordingly for food and beverages. All rally payments can be made
at the rally when you arrive. Back on Track is open to all teenagers (7 th grade through 12 th grade) and
youth leaders.

Housing:
A block of rooms have been reserved at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Ankeny, Iowa. Each room must
have an adult sponsor in the room. Rooms may sleep up to six people with two people bringing their
own bedding and air-mattresses. Rooms for teenagers may not be mixed guys and girls. For integrity
reasons, adults should not share a bed with a teenager. The room rate is $99 per room. The ideal set-
up will be for four to six teens and one sponsor on the floor on an air-mattress. Be sure to book your
room EARLY!

If you’re attending as a Youth Group, please call the Fairfield Inn and make your own reservations
under “Back on Track” by November 3 (515.965.8400). Breakfast is provided at the hotel on Saturday morning. Youth groups who are attending are not required to stay over-night. If your church is proximate and you wish to drive back and forth, you are at liberty to do so.
