I’m grateful to be a part of a group of churches that stands for the sufficiency of the Word of God and the primacy of the local church during these days. The Word of God always gives us hope and strength. The local church can be a great witness in practical ways as it stands on the Word of God. As a council we are praying for all of our churches that they will be strengthened and have a witness of love and mercy during these times.
The Executive Committee of the Council of 10 met with Tim about our annual conference in light of the uncertainty around the pandemic. We’re going to cancel meeting physically at Community Baptist this year. We’d prefer not to cancel totally because of elections and business as well as the content designed to continue our growth in church revitalization. We’re planning on having prerecorded sessions online that people can view as well as using an honor system for people to register and pay for the conference. We’re also working out options for our business and voting. We believe this should be possible, but we’re still working out details. If you have questions, please let us know.
Please be in prayer for our state and our association of churches even as we pray for you!
