Volunteer Request from FBBC: We are so thankful for the amazing, continual generosity of the Faith Community! Last spring, an anonymous donor came forward and offered to supply and mill all of the wood for our gymnasium floor, which has been in place since the mid-1970s.This summer, we will be tearing out the old gymnasium floor and replacing it with the new surface. We have a professional installer ready to put the new floor in place, but we need the help of volunteers to tear out the existing floor and subfloor. We plan to begin removal on Monday, May 13, 2019, at 8:00 a.m. Until we begin the removal process, and depending on how many volunteers we have, we don’t know how long this will take, but we are anticipating a three-day process.Many have asked about repurposing the existing flooring. After discussions with a professional gym floor contractor, we are not sure this is possible due to the way the floor is likely attached to the subfloor.
