The following is an update on Micah from Pastor Ben. Please be in prayer for their family.
On October 9th, we found out that our 10 year old son Micah’s cancer had returned. A small tumor is growing in the same location around his left eye. We really thought that this cancer was behind us, but now we have to face this for the third time. Life hadn’t quite returned to normal from the last two years.
What strengthens us is resting the sovereignty of God. We, and so many other believers, have prayed for Micah’s healing. God has chosen to answer no for now. As incredibly hard this is for us right now, we have to accept His answer of no and trust Him in this. He is worthy of our trust.
OnĀ Wednesday, October 18, Micah will have surgery to remove what is possible of the tumor. This is very delicate surgery around his eye with the risk of permanent damage to his eye. Please pray with us for the protection of his vision and that the doctor will be able to remove much of the tumor. After the tumor is tested, we will hear what treatments are available for him.
To say that this has been hard for Micah is an understatement and we need wisdom from God on how to guide him spiritually and physically through this. Please pray for for guidance as we parent Micah and our other children, as they all are affected. Pray that our marriage will be strengthened through this, as we face a lot of different pressures.
We are very thankful for our church family who has been very supportive and encouraging to us. Please pray for Calvary Baptist Church of Greene, as we walk through this, that we would serve, love, and learn what God wants us to learn through this.
Thank you so much for praying for us!
