State Representative Tim Capon Bio

After growing up in a religious and unsaved home, Tim came to Christ for salvation in 1983 at the age of 28 along with his wife Sandy. He responded to God’s call to the gospel ministry, left his profession as a civil engineer, and began his training for pastoral ministry at Faith Baptist Bible College. He served the Lord as a pastor for over 28 years in two Iowa churches. For the past six years Tim has been serving as the IARBC State Representative. He also serves on several boards including Faith Baptist Bible College, the GARBC Council of 18, and Men for Christ. God has blessed Tim and Sandy with 43 years of marriage, 3 children, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and 10 grandchildren. Tim enjoys grilling, camping, hiking, biking, and really enjoys turkey hunting with Sandy. He loves preaching and teaching the Word of God, helping churches, working with pastors, discipling new believers, and has a burden for families and reaching the lost for Christ.
